Resident Evil Welcome to Raccoon City movie poster

Coming Soon: Resident Evil Welcome to Raccoon City Movie

It looks like the Resident Evil franchise movies are finally moving beyond terrible CGI and lame storytelling. One view of this trailer boosted my hope for the movie franchise based on my favorite video game from my teenage years.

Star Wars Path of Destruction Book Review

My wife dragged me into Target the other day, and for once, I was glad. As we strolled down the book aisle, my eyes spotted three Star Wars books - the new "The Essential Legends Collection" recently released. My eyes were first drawn to the cover of Path of Destruction by author Drew Karpyshyn (known for his work on the Mass Effect video games and books).

Aestus Book 2 – The Colony by S.Z. Attwell Book Review

The Colony, book two of author S.Z. Attwell's Aestus series picks up straight off where the first book ended. Read primarily from the perspective of the strong female protagonist, Jossey, we are once again thrust into the world beyond the City and learn who the Onlar truly are. In my review of the first book, The City, I compared the series to Frank Herbert's Dune series. I maintain my comparison throughout book two - not only in its likeness to the harsh conditions and dueling factions but also in the author's brilliant world development and character building.

Loki Season 1 Episode 3: Lamentis

The third episode of Loki is a doozie! We finally spend time away from the TVA and watch the two Lokis get to know each other. The episode name, Lamentis, is a reference to the apocalyptic moon both Lokis end up on after escaping the TVA headquarters.

Loki Season 1 Episode 2: The Variant

The second episode of Loki solidifies the show as Marvel's best since Netflix's Daredevil. The series plot develops nicely and continues Mobius's hunt for the bad Loki Variant.

Scott Jeschke’s Mimic – Thrilling, Mesmerizing, c

Mimic is a brilliant, sit-on-the-edge-of-your-seat sci-fi thriller that's so well done, you'll want to watch it over and over. Everything about the film is on point: the acting, the story, the cinematography, and the audio (instrumentals and sound effects).

Alien Sea of Sorrows Book Review – Non-Stop Action

I enjoyed Alien Sea of Sorrows, but I did not love it. But, it's important to mention I read the book, rather than listened to the Audible Studios production. From what I've heard, the Audible version contains a full cast with music and sound effects, thus making for a better experience with Sea of Sorrows.
